My father, Wendell P. Lockard, started our business in 1951. He began as a mason with one employee and quickly became a major contractor in the commercial construction industry. I began working for the company in 1969. Through the ‘60s and ‘70s we implemented the design/build concept and our focus shifted to development. We continued to grow significantly through the ‘80s and ‘90s. Lockard Companies entered the new millennium as a diversified company with many areas of expertise. However, the core of our business remains development.
We managed our dynamic growth by our ability to stay focused and by our progressive attitude. We now have over 50 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate, development, construction and finance. This enables us to bring our clients the most complete development, brokerage, and property management services available.
