Cedar Falls has a strong population and economic base which has attracted a number of large employers to the area including Covenant Hospitals, John Deere, and IBP. Cedar Falls and the adjacent city of Waterloo make up the business hub of Northeast Iowa. Population in the area has remained fairly steady over the last few years.  Our MSA population is 165,245 for the year 2007. Cedar Falls is home to the University of Northern Iowa, one of the top public universities in the Midwest, with a steady increasing enrollment of 14,070.
